How to Add NFT as Profile Picture on Twitter?

Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) are the latest trend in the digital world, and they're taking the internet by storm. With the ability to own and display unique digital assets, NFTs have become a hot commodity among collectors and enthusiasts alike. One place where NFTs are making a splash is on Twitter, where users are now able to add an NFT as their profile picture. However, the process for doing so is not as simple as just uploading an image. That's where Twitter Blue comes in.

Twitter Blue, Twitter's premium subscription service, allows users to add an NFT as their profile picture, but it goes a step further by confirming the user's ownership of the NFT and displaying it accordingly. This article will guide you through the process of adding an NFT as your profile picture on Twitter Blue.

First, you will need to access the Twitter app. Once you have accessed your profile, you will see an "Edit" button under your profile picture. When you click on this button, you will be given the options to take a photo, choose an existing photo, or choose an NFT. If you choose the NFT option, you will then need to connect your wallet. As of writing, the supported wallets are Coinbase Wallet, MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Argent, Rainbow and Ledger Live.

Once your wallet is connected, you can then select the NFT that you want to display. The process of selecting the NFT may vary depending on which wallet you are using. For example, on MetaMask, the most secure method for displaying NFTs is by importing them individually. However, you can save time by only importing the NFT that you want to use as your profile picture.

Once you have selected your NFT, you will then need to crop it to fit the hexagon shape that is used for verified NFT profile pictures on Twitter Blue. Keep in mind that only NFTs that you own can appear as hexagons. When you are satisfied with your crop, select "Done" from the upper right corner of the pane.

Congratulations, now everyone who sees your profile picture will know that you are the proud owner of a unique and verified NFT. The process may seem lengthy and complicated, but it's worth it to be able to showcase your digital assets in such a prominent way.
